Despite the best efforts of storm Ciara, Burley-in-Wharfedale toastmaster George Pye was installed as President of The Northern Guild of Toastmasters at their annual meeting, this year held at The Bradford Golf Club in Hawksworth.
George, who is currently Asian Wedding Toastmaster of the Year, was welcomed in by a guard of honour of his toastmaster colleagues before being presented with his chain of office from outgoing President David McBain (below).
“It’s a great honour to become President of our Guild and very humbling to have been recognised by my peers. As professional toastmasters we pride ourselves on playing a part in making our clients’ events even more special.”
“I’ve been a toastmaster for almost 14 years and truly enjoy what I do. During my year in office I will be working with my colleagues to make sure that toastmaster services remain relevant to the audiences of today.
People are increasingly looking for a toastmaster service to make their special event that little bit different. With our red coats we add a touch of colour to the day while ensuring events run smoothly with no stress for the guests. “said George.
The Northern Guild of Toastmasters is the pre-eminent organisation for Toastmasters in the north and midlands helping people to celebrate their special events with an extra touch of class.
